BREAKFAST AT THE INN
Freshly prepared homemade food using the best ingredients available is the hallmark of breakfast at The Carlton Inn, a Willamette Valley Bed & Breakfast. This means cooking with locally grown/raised foods whenever possible.
FRESH FROM THE GARDEN
Weekly farmers markets and honor system farm stands abound in the Oregon Wine Country area. My own garden provides fresh herbs and vegetables that make their way into your breakfast foods. I use local fresh, high quality, non-GMO, free range eggs from Wooden Mallet Farms.
Carlton Farms is the source for breakfast sausage, ham, and bacon. I make homemade yogurt and granola, and local hazelnuts add a wonderful sweet nuttiness to the granola, as well as to my waffles and pancakes.
Wake up to the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee from Caravan Coffee in Newberg. Coffee and teas are available in the dining room by 7:00 am. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am beginning with a beautifully presented plate of fresh fruit or compote, accompanied by homemade yogurt and granola.
HOT FROM THE OVEN
Depending on the entrée, freshly made baked goods which may consist of blueberry scones with lemon zest, cherry almond muffins, or cinnamon coffee cake may accompany the first course. Served next is a hot entrée, possibly a frittata with roasted asparagus and wild mushrooms, a creamy polenta with sun-dried tomatoes, garnished with ham and bell peppers, a smoked salmon scramble, or even my specialty, Dutch Pannekoeken.
SPECIAL REQUESTS OR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
Should you have any special dietary needs or restrictions, just let me know in advance, and I will be happy to accommodate. I can also pack “breakfast to go” for those with early morning departures.
Come enjoy one of Willamette Valley’s best bed & breakfasts, The Carlton Inn!
